Common Faults and Solutions

1. Mechanical CNC Press Brake

  • Fault 1: Excessive clearance between the slider and the guide rail, producing abnormal noise.
This is due to wear from prolonged use, increasing the gap. Check the wear condition of the guide rail pressure plate. Depending on the wear, replace the plate and readjust to the required clearance.

  • Fault 2: Back gauge transmission fault.
This is caused by the disengagement of the key between the transmission shaft and the synchronous pulley, or by the synchronous belt coming off. Reassemble the key and synchronous belt, and check the electrical components.

  • Fault 3: Excessive deviation in the parallelism between the back gauge beam's linear guide and the mould centerline.
Loosen the "X" axis synchronous belt, adjust the parallelism within the tolerance range, and reinstall the belt.

  • Fault 4: Loose connection between the oil cylinder and the slider, resulting in inaccurate bending angles or the machine failing to find the reference point.
Recheck and tighten the connection nuts between the slider and oil cylinders.

2. Hydraulic CNC Press Brake

  • Fault 1: No pressure in the hydraulic system.

    • Check whether the proportional relief valve solenoid coil is powered and if the proportional solenoid coil voltage meets the requirements. If not, check the related electrical causes.

    • Check if the cartridge valve or main valve spool is stuck, or if the damping hole is blocked. If so, disassemble the relief valve for cleaning and reinstall it.

    • Check if the three-phase power supply phase sequence is reversed, causing the motor to rotate in the wrong direction.

  • Fault 2: Long delay during the transition from rapid downstroke to slow downstroke.

    • Check whether the oil level in the tank is too low, causing the filling port to be exposed. During the rapid approach, the upper chamber of the cylinder may not be sufficiently filled with oil (unable to form effective filling).
